TEXTBOOKS ALLOCATION SCHEDULE - ROMANIAN SECTIONS ONLY!

Important: Seat booking and Pre-registration (in case you do not have a library card) are MANDATORY. Please make book reservations EXCEPT for textbooks (for the Romanian sections) or reference books. Please consult the guides at the bottom of this page.

 

 

Online Clearance Form

 

After the conclusion of academic studies, the clearance form issued by "Iuliu Haţieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca must also be signed by the Library staff, certifying that the student doesn't have any overdue books or other unpaid fines.

Please fill in the online clearance form with your full information and submit it to the following address (The documents must be sent in .DOC or .PDF format only).

 Should name changes occur during the years of study, please specify both versions.

Dear library users,

On May 19th 2020, our library resumes public access with the following services:

  • registration
  • loans and loan returns
  • partial access to our reading room seats (online scheduling required beforehand)

Library access will fully comply with the safety measures required (social distancing, disinfection).

Library items borrowed before the state of emergency and with a due date in March will be returned free of charge until May 29th 2020. Borrowed items may also be returned by courier (delivery expenditures covered by the library user) using the following address:

Returned items and consulted items (in the reading rooms) will enter a three day quarantine before becoming available again.

Library opening hours for all library public locations (3rd and 4th floor on V. Babes and 3rd floor on B. P. Hașdeu) are:

Monday-Friday: 8.00 - 15.30

Saturday, Sunday: CLOSED

Reading rooms are available as follows:

8.00 - 10.00 - access only if an online scheduling has been made beforehand

10.00 - 11.00 - CLOSED for disinfection

11.00 - 13.00 - access only if an online scheduling has been made beforehand

13.00 - 14.00 - CLOSED for disinfection

14.00 - 15.30 - access only if an online scheduling has been made beforehand

In order to minimize your waiting time for borrowing items, please feel free to use the book reservation facility (please consult "Ghid de Inscriere si rezervare" below). In order to avoid any misunderstandings, please pay extra attention to the location information in the item description because that is the pickup location (FILIALĂ).

If you do not have a library card, please make your registration online, before coming to the library so that registration may be finalized by the librarian as soon as you arrive at the library.

To the attention of the users who have a mobile access account on the EBSCO platform:

Due to EBSCOs change of policy regarding mobile access (based on username and password) to its databases, account passwords are only valid for one year.

In case you own a mobile access account on the EBSCO platform but it fails to connect, these are the steps you need to follow:

1. Access http://www.info-edu.ro/activare-cont-ebsco.php

2. Fill in the form at the bottom of the page. Attention! The User ID field must contain the same user chosen when you created the account.

3. Input a new password which needs to meet the following requirements:

- must have 6-20 characters, including special characters (such as #, @, &, *, %, !, ?, $)

- must not include words as ebsco, ehost, pa$$word, dynamed or admin

4. Do not forget to select, from the institution list, Iuliu Haţieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca

 

After you have filled in the form, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Since creation and update of mobile access accounts is not automatized, your confirmation e-mail may reach you in a 24 hour period.

 

In order to access the Cambridge resources subscribed through the ANELIS Plus consortium, as well as the free resources offered by Cambridge University Press by the end of May 2020, you need to:
